Vital information that is imbedded in EDI transactions needs to be distributed throughout your organization and especially your logistics process. EDI information is shared directly with your sales, accounting, warehouse, inventory, distribution, customer relationship management (CRM), catalog and shipping systems.
EDI Options works with each and every customer to determine the best way to provide timely information to their key people and systems.
Reports, spreadsheets and direct feeds to processing systems are just some of the ways that the EC Gearbox delivers key EDI data throughout your company both physically and electronically.
Sales, Accounting and CRM Systems »

Order processing, accounting and CRM systems are the heart of your business. Using tested integration techniques, EDI Options exchanges EDI information with these systems eliminating data entry mistakes and delays in fulfillment. Sales orders are created from incoming EDI orders and invoices are extracted and transmitted to the EDI partners – without rekeying and extra labor. Contact the customer during the fulfillment process with your CRM systems using email alerts and other direct communications.
EDI Options offers off-the-shelf integration for many sales, accounting and CRM systems, and we find that each client has individualized needs that requires individualized attention. EDI Options expertise lies in translating the requirements of each EDI partner into your business requirements and vice versa. Unlike other EDI companies that expect you to work the way their systems work, we want to understand your challenges and fine tune our solutions for a custom fit.
Shipping Systems »

Shipping systems are a key link in the fulfillment process amplified by the growing popularity of deliveries direct to the consumer. The EC Gearbox Shipping Manager creates a seamless connection between shipping systems and your EDI transactional information resulting in enhanced customer service with an ability to provide up to the minute details.
Order distribution details are pre-loaded into shipping systems with available information including order number, ship to information, and even packing details with weights. With the addition of a simple barcode scan, this physical process becomes an automated, one-step event.
Shipping results, including tracking and cost information, are integrated back into the EC Gearbox where it is used to create EDI Advance Ship Notices, exchanged back into accounting systems to enhance and/or automate the invoicing process and even sent back to CRM systems for customer notifications.
Warehouse and Distribution Systems »

Whether you are packing in-house, using your own remote warehouse, or are distributing through a 3rd party warehouse, EDI Options has choices that will help you get more streamlined and automated.
EDI Options offers every tier of automation to match your packing operation whether or not you have a physical warehouse. Choose from a myriad of packing options including automated options for packing small direct-to-consumer shipments or packing huge pre-defined master pack shipments. EDI Options also offers stand-alone warehouse workstations designed to capture ad hoc packing by scanning UPC or SCC-14 barcodes.
When installed in conjunction with accounting and shipping integration options, information flows seamlessly between EDI, sales, accounting, warehouse, and shipping systems. EDI Options options for automation and flexibility extend all the way out to external or 3rd party warehouses and EDI Options are adaptive to the way they operate. If the warehouse is EDI capable we exchange all warehouse EDI transactions, namely 943/944 for receiving of goods from suppliers to external warehouses and 940/945 and 856 for shipping goods to customers.
If the warehouse is not EDI capable, EDI Options is flexible enough to send formatted data files, PDF images of picking slips and labels, or even offer direct, remote printing.
Catalog and Inventory Systems »

The EC GearBox helps you manage details of your item catalog and inventory and exchanges item details with those systems. Many retailers, especially direct-to-consumer specialists, require a managed catalog and complete inventory details on a day-to-day basis. EDI Options wants to help you meet your EDI partner’s requirements without incurring any undue expense or burden of extra labor by using automated processing.
Many retailers are also contemplating new 1SYNC data exchange requirements for your item management and EDI Options can help you make the right choices in this burgeoning technological area. Looking to the not-so-distant future, 1SYNC is an area that can have a major impact on your operations and it is one of those areas where making the right decision early can save trouble and headaches for years to come.
